En el año 2016 las Fallas fueron declaradas por la Unesco Patrimonio Cultural inmaterial de la Humanidad. El comité ha valoró las Fallas como una expresión de “creatividad colectiva” que “salvaguarda las artes y oficios tradicionales”. Las Fallas, esculturas satíricas creadas por artistas locales, “propician la comunicación y el diálogo entre los ciudadanos”.

In the year 2016 the Fallas were declared by Unesco Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The committee has valued the Fallas as an expression of “collective creativity” that “safeguards traditional arts and crafts.” Las Fallas, satirical sculptures created by local artists, “promote communication and dialogue among citizens.”
