These are the feet of the MIA’s Roman-era copy of the Doryphoros by Polykleitos. Please see it’s page at: http://goo.gl/uD2AmY
I rounded up a bunch of my own photos of this sculpture that are freely available to download and use at flickr to recreate part of this magnificent work of art. Those photos are at: https://goo.gl/RFhTg1
I decided to focus on his feet as they are a very expressive part of the statue. When I was finished recreating the feet, I was disappointed to find that I was dealing with a lot of digital noise (the mesh was very choppy where it should have been smooth). I imported the model into Meshmixer and smoothed it out and scaled it to roughly match the true size of the original. I was overly aggressive in smoothing out the mesh and lost some of the fine detail. I thought it might still be interesting for folks here, so here it is.
