Karam Lebanon Collection Box 24 Item 65, University of South Florida Libraries, Special Collections
Marble female sculpted head (broken) that likely comes from a small statue. The piece has a modern pedestal mount. The woman’s hair and headdress arrangement derive from late Classical and early Hellenistic models. The collection is unprovenanced and stems from a donation of materials from Dr. Karam’s time in Lebanon, including his work as a Plastic Surgeon at the University of Beirut Hospital area in the 1960s.
