More model informationDesigned in late 1891 The Fernstein 1891 fired 0.50 caliber ball shot using a Quartz catalyst . These Specially designed “Batteries” were charged in advance by a 5th level mage at the Fernstein factory and could propel a round at over 2,000 feet per second. The charging handle, which was operated similar to a jack in the box crank, loading one round on its first rotation and charged a quartz shot on the second. The crank could be make addition turns to “overcharge” the shot but after 3 or 4 cranks the recoil became more than most people could handle. The Fernstein 1891 would serve well into the 1st Great War, and would retire from active service in 1922.
