Output from this 3D MVS model was then exported to Terramodel software for detailed impacted soil specific excavation design. The Terramodel output was provided to GPS-equipped, computer guided excavators, allowing optimal segregation of clean overburden, clean “benching” soils necessary to maintain excavation stability and impacted material to be removed from the site for disposal as two different wastes types.
