More model informationThis fire hook approximately 8-10 metres in length, and is constructed from a long wooden shaft with a large iron hook attached to one end. The hook has a socket or groove into which the wooden shafts are inserted, and fixed by means of nails, pins or rivets.
The hook would have been used to remove burning roof material to prevent fires from spreading.
