This 3D model displays a fire hydrant on a cobbled pavement, with all of its parts – from valves to nozzles – and even visible signs of wear and tear faithfully recreated in full color. The 3D replica boasts impressive realism, achieved in Artec Studio 19 by turning DSLR camera photos into an authentically-looking 3D model using the software’s AI Photogrammetry.
To ensure a complete 360-degree view, the object was photographed from various angles for 10 minutes. After importing the photos into Artec Studio and initial 3D reconstruction, a high-density point cloud was generated for ultra-realistic features and textures. The model was enhanced with mesh optimization and texturing, resulting in a strikingly rich 4K texture resolution.
Explore the fine details in close-up, from the hydrant’s textured surfaces to the small inspection plate, rounded cap, and the manufacturer’s logo. This level of detail shows how a true-to-life 3D replica can be created in under an hour with just your camera and Artec Studio.
