Carpeaux Jean-Bapt. Napolitan Fisherman. - Bronze (Rome 1867) after an original in clay from the Louvre Museum, Paris. 0.47 x 0.90 m. Carpeaux widow’s permission was issued in 1895. A young Neapolitan fisherman listens with joy to the sound of the hook, which he holds in his ear. This piece was placed at the entrance of the Simu Museum in Bucharest (now demolished). Currently is a part of the National Art Museum in Bucharest collection.
