Fittings in gold/bronze -viking age3D Model
Fittings in gold/bronze, shaped like a truncated square pyramid. Decorated with a four-sided star figure in the center of which an amber bead is embedded . On each of the two largest side surfaces, there are 2 animal figures in relief with their heads facing each other. The figures most resemble horses, but with human heads. Between the horses is a human head. One of these has horns. On each of the two smaller sides, a human figure without arms is placed in the middle. On each side, it is surrounded by 2 snake-like animals. In these faces there are two small holes, where two iron pins have probably been placed. Around the base of the pyramid goes a flat collar ornamented on the 2 sides with a loop of wire and on the other 2 with tongues, reminiscent of the usual Greek cornice ornament. In each of the corners of the collar is a round nail hole. A small iron nail sits in the collar on the r side of the human figure’s feet.
