More model informationThis is a Scottish all-metal flintlock pistol, which utilises a flint-striking ignistion mechanism to fire. It was made in the late 1700s for issue to Highland Regiments.
The pistol has a wooden stopper inside the barrel, as well as a screw and fitting on one side. Following disassembly, dried pine needles were found inside the stock.
