Description: This is a foid-syenite from the well-known Ditrău Alkaline Massif (Eastern Carpathians, Romania). This sample is phaneritic with a medium- to coarse-grained texture. The most common rock-forming minerals are: alkaline feldspar, sodalite, and nepheline. The dominant mafic components are biotite and amphibole.
