Construction: The body is made in its entirety from sycamore wood. It was made by gouging (hand picking) Covered with a spruce board, fitted with a sycamore fingerboard and a tailpiece inlaid with ebony wood.
Instrument primed and decorated with ink by Kamila Bigus-Połoniewicz. Covered with 11 layers of spirit varnish. Decorations were created for about 8 weeks. The artist spent about 300 hours on their production. Description: The instrument belongs to the Polish group 19th century knee fidels. The fidels are played with the fingernail technique - the strings are shortened by touching them with the nail plate, the fingertip (as is done when playing the violin or guitar). At the end of the 19th century, traces of the instrument were lost. The Biłgoraj Suka was reconstructed in the 1990s based on Gerson’s sketches and watercolors. Currently, the instrument is very popular and used during the performances of many Polish bands, e.g.
