Fort St. Sebastian, Shama, Ghana

Fort St. Sebastian in Shama, Ghana,was used during the times of the African Slave Trade to hold kidnapped slaves before they were transported to North America. It was built by the Portuguese in the 1520’s.

The Zamani Project team documented the Fort in August 2013. 112 Laser scans were captured along with photogrammetric images, 360-degree panoramas and Differential GPS points.
