Voici un corail rugueux (Rugosa) solitaire du Tournaisien (base du Carbonifère) de Belgique. Il s’est légèrement tordu durant sa croissance pour maintenir son corps vers la lumière et les nutriments en suspension.

This is a solitary rugosan coral from the Tournaisian (earliest Carboniferous) of Belgium. It twisted slightly during growth to maintain its soft body towards the light and the nutrients.
