Fossilized Sea Urchin

Fossil urchin of the genus Pseudocidaris. Instead of the more recognizable thin spines of modern urchins, the spines of this genus are more bulbous and take on a club-like appearance.

This model is part of a series I did exploring natural subjects in the collections at Oklahoma Baptist University. The specimens included fossils, minerals, skeletons, and taxidermy. This is a work in progress and I will continue to update it. Right now I am working on refining the reflectivity of the model.
