Fountain of “Las Cubas” Casa de Campo, Madrid. It gets its name from the Glorieta in which it is located and in turn the roundabout is so called because through the Aqueduct of La Partida the watering tanks of the plants were filled. It is a beautiful example of that set of fountains that were built in the Republican era whose authors in the early years were José de Lorite Kramer and Manuel Álvarez Naya. In 1936 the designs already belong to Manuel Muñoz Monasterio. The Fuente de las Cubas was built in 1933 within the Plan of the Second Republic to provide the Casa de Campo with drinking fountains. It has, like other fountains, a granite slab with showy forms that embellished the whole, it is similar in its design to the nearby Fuente de las Bolas.
