Fragment of private funerary statue 1295-1186 BC 3D Model
The images were capture at Budapest, Hungary, Museum of Fine Arts
I managed to do this scan under not so-called perfect photogrammetry conditions, so unfortunately some parts are blurry. The sculpture was under a thick safety glass cage, that reflected everything from the surrounding interior. The light conditions were dim and directional so some baked in shadows appeared in the colour map and since it was forbidden to use tripods, I hade to open up my blende to f4.0 @1/40 hand held shutter speed that produced some DOF even with my 20mm focal length lens.
The image set was reconstructed by using 3DFlow Zephyr (version: Clementine – beta) With the help of Zephyr’s filtering tools I had no problem to selecting and disabling some of the images that projected reflections from the glass cage till mesh generating and in texturing stage. I captured 184 images and had to filter out around 14. The bottom of the sculpture’s texture was corrected in post by using Substance painter.
