Franks Farm - c. 1840 House 3D Model
The c. 1840 house: one of five structures on the Franks farmstead in the City of Green, Ohio. This Greek Revival 2-story frame house was purchased by Isaac Franks after his arrival to Green township in 1841. To the side of the house is the remains of a privy or well.
This house is “side gabled and clapboarded, with interior end chimneys, wide frieze with returns, 5-bay flush-board facade with 2 doors, a partly-enclosed porch, and sandstone block foundation. First floor windows are 9/6; 2nd floor are 6/6. It is well-preserved example of the New England 1 1/2 house type.” - Judy Williams 1997 for the Ohio Historic Preservation Office (No. SUM-3162-20)
This is a part of an ongoing process to preserve the Franks farmstead (https://skfb.ly/6sAPN) within an overall effort to document the historical and cultural heritage of the City of Green.
