Franz II Rákóczi of Felsővadász (1676-1735) is considered a Hungarian national hero today and was the richest nobleman in Royal Hungary at the time. He was the county governor of the Upper Hungarian county of Sáros and leader of the uprising named after him (1703 to 1711), the last and largest uprising of Hungarian nobles against the Habsburgs.
