The viewpoint on the Steinerwegberg in the Leitha Mountains was officially opened on 18 August 1889, after a year of construction. On the eight-meter-high stone tower rises a four-meter-high wooden pavilion in which the view can be enjoyed.
Kaiser-Franz-Joseph-Jubilee-Viewpoints were built on the occasion of the 40th, 50th or 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I. In total, ten Kaiser-Franz-Joseph-Jubilee-Viewpoints (five in Lower Austria, two in Upper Austria, two in Vienna, one in Zlaté Hory, Czech Republic) were built.
