Liszt Monument in Eisenstadt. The monument was created on the occasion of the 125th birthday of Franz Liszt in 1936 by the sculptor Alexander Jaray.

Franz Liszt (1811-1886) was an Austro-Hungarian composer, pianist, conductor, theater director, music teacher and writer whose native language was German. Liszt was one of the most prominent and influential piano virtuosos, as well as one of the most prolific composers of the 19th century. He was a co-founder of the Allgemeiner Deutscher Musikverein. In 1859 he was raised to the Austrian hereditary knighthood as Knight of Liszt.
