My entry to the Sketchfab Low Poly Challenge April 2017.

This whole scene depicts the great mission that Elon Musk and Space X are trying to achieve, the use of reusable rockets and the inevitable journey of humans to the red planet. This scene is a bit of a mish-mash of all those goals.

Notes on the Process: The scene was constructed entirely in Cinema 4D with texturing done in Adobe Photoshop. All of the texutes are hand painted. I have given myself a challenge within this challenge which was to complete this scene in less than five hours and in entirety this project was completed in just about four hours. This is also the first time I tried uploading a scene in to Sketchfab and I must say that the post processing abilities are amazing, I couldn’t be happier with how this scene looks.

The whole scene is not to scale, while the planets and the moon are relatively proportional in relation to one another, the distances between the objects is not to scale. The distances are just far too great.
