FS0194 This rock art panel is located in the water catchment area of the Palatki Cultural Heritage site. This site is located in the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest to the northwest of Sedona Arizona.
This panel has pictographs and petroglyphs created by the Sinagua, Yavapai and Western Apache paleo, proto-historic and historic Native American cultures.
Panel 7 includes the central portion of the model and extends to the right. The far right portion of Panel 8 is seen on the left side of the model.
The large white “shield” on panel 8 is attributed to the Sinagua paleo-indian culture. The deep grooves may be Sinagua, Yavapai or Western Apache in origin. There is also abundant historic graffiti on these panels.
