This area encompasses parts of rock art panels 33 thru 36. All are highly impacted by naturally occurring fractures that put the stability of the rock face at risk. The fractures within and between panels are measured periodically to determine if and when movement is occurring.
There are large areas covered with Archaic, Sinagua, Yavapai, Apache and possibly Hopi pictographs and petroglyphs.
This model is part of an ongoing project to document “at risk” rock art at our Heritage Sites due to natural or vandalism related issues. Additional information about the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest can be found at the following web sites http://www.sedonaredrocktrails.org/
