This is a wider coverage area of FS1670 showing where the rockfall originated. This is the area where the shadow stone on Panel 4 at V bar V Heritage Site south of Sedona Arizona in the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest fell in November 2018. The shadow stone broke into several pieces and therefore can not be lifted and replaced back into the cliff face. Refer to model FS0550 or FS0004 to see the cliff face with the shadow stone in place and model FS1303 after it fell out of place.
This model is part of an ongoing project to document “at risk” rock art at our Heritage Sites due to natural or vandalism related issues. Additional information about the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest can be found at the following web sites http://www.sedonaredrocktrails.org/
