This is a remote site in the Coconino Forest near Sedona, Arizona. It is a hilltop multi-room site constructed by Sinagua pre-historic Native Americans in the time frame 1100AD to 1300AD. Much of this site has been destroyed by pot hunting and early 20th century ranch traffic. Initial archaeological evaluation indicated that there were likely 60+ ground level rooms with many having 2nd and 3rd stories.
This model is part of an ongoing project to document “at risk” archaeological sites due to natural or vandalism related issues. North is up in the initial view.
The model was created from 134 photos acquired by a DJI drone.
