This fountain was part of the old Venta de Aravaca from the 18th century. In 1829 Isidro González Velázquez gives it its current form. Built on the exposed brick wall that serves as a containment to the explanation where all the original buildings of the Casa de Vacas were, except for the guard house that was closest to the train tracks. There are documents that prove that the source was already there, when the Casa de Vacas was sold and later a faisanera. The Casa de Vacas Fountain together with the Zarzón Fountain are the only ones in the Casa de Campo that are currently springs, therefore, they are not approved for human consumption. The fountain was restored in 2006, making the effects of the Civil War and perhaps the War of Independence disappear from its bricks. Its location in a shady and sheltered place creates an environment with a calm atmosphere. Source: https://lacasadecampo.es/2020/12/26/fuente-de-la-casa-de-vacas/
