Captured using a single Ajile Depthscan 3D imaging system at a 5 m working distance, this scan demonstrates the system’s capability to achieve high-quality, inspection-ready point clouds even at extended ranges. As part of a four-part series examining a full vehicle at varying distances, this dataset highlights the Depthscan’s unique auto-focus feature and wide working volume—from close-range to long-range inspection—without requiring hardware changes. Such versatility makes it ideal for automotive applications like robotic painting, sanding, welding, finishing, and grinding, where precise 3D data at different scales and working distances is critical.
