A sword I made back in high school. This is one of multiple models that I will be uploading in a collection of mine showcasing the stuff I did back in high school as it’d be fun to see everything with PBR shading online and share it with the world.
I would say, one can already see many errors in the mesh itself and the textures are very bad. Back then, I had to make my textures by hand since we didn’t have access to things like Substance Painter. For the normal map, I used AwesomeBump to generate it to save on time (as time was of utmost importance back then) and for organic models, I used Mudbox to bake the normals but there were very few organic models that I made back then so AwesomeBump became my go-to tool for generating normal maps. I’ve improved a lot since then I would say, especially now that I’ve got my hands on Substance Painter.
