This 3D capture attempt has been completed with drone footage and LumaAI app. I am not satisfied with the ratio between texture quality and poly count, but nevertheless it was a great experiment! The Portara is the huge marble gate of a centenarian temple that began to be built in the 6th century BC, probably in honour of the god Apollo, on the island of Naxos. It is located on the islet of ‘Palatia’, or ‘the island of Bacchus’, at the northern end of the port of Naxos. According to mythology, it was on this islet that Theseus abandoned Ariadne, who was then abducted by Dionysus with his entourage. The islet was not connected to Naxos until 1919, the year in which the stalk connecting it to the rest of the island was built. the 3d scan is half made because I could not reach the upper part of the ruin
