Christofi Zerlendi (1844–1907) was a banker, senator in Bucharest, municipal councilor, and founder of the “Naționala” Insurance Society. He donated property worth more than 25,000 lei to the city to establish a care home for the disabled (Sabina Cantacuzino, From the Life of the Ion C. Brătianu Family, 1821–1891).
