On the upper left panel of the double door, the keyhole is clearly visible. The door jambs are decorated with stylized ivies rising from a vase, a symbol of Dionysian immortality. The comb, the mirror and the cabinet (unless it’s a diptychon, a wax tablet?) Between the hanger and the lintel are those used by the mother of the commenditeur from this funerary stele. She is named before her husband in the epitaph above the lintel: “Euelpistos made [this tomb] for his mother and for his father”.
