Specimen: Fungal fruiting body (Omphalotus sp. ?)
Location: County Line, Harrah, Oklahoma
Aquired: Found by Clayton Jones, October 27, 2018
Data source: Photogrammetry, Agisoft Photoscan
This unidentified cluster of mushrooms grew from the stump of an oak tree and was likely immature as other similar mushroom clusters in the area grew to a much larger size and had fully presented their gills whereas these muchrooms stil retain a classic mushroom shape.
This is a direct scan created through photogrammetry, and is still has a few holes in the mesh here and there. The model has also been decimated from ~800,000 triangles to ~45,000 to make viewing easier on mobile devices.
I intend to use this model to create a better, more realistic and in-depth model in the future.
