The Fuzhu bridge (福住橋) was originally located at the intersection of Nanjing St. and Ziyou St., Hualien City. It was constructed in 1931 during the Japanese colonial period of Taiwan, located on the Fukusumi Rd. (福住通), the downtown of Hualien City at that time. In 2013, the Fuzhu bridge and the 2nd Fuzhu bridge were registered as historic monuments of the Hualien City, but then downgraded to historic buildings at the same year. In 2015, in the purpose of flood control and city development, the two bridges were cut apart, removed from the original place, and relocated to a small park 700 meters away. The river flowing below, the Hongmao River (紅毛溪), was then covered and became a parking lot. This model captures the Fuzhu bridge after being relocated.
