Gadsby’s Tavern is an 18th century tavern located in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. The left portion was built ca. 1785 and the right portion with four stories was added in 1792. The tavern hosted many famous individuals from the late-18th century America including George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and James Monroe.
