The ships of the Longrange Freighter Class are among the medium-sized ships of the Earth fleet. With a length of 188m (incl. light fusion engines) and a height of 78m (incl. solar panels) the Longrange Freighter Class is best suited for operations in the outer solar system and the asteroid belt. With room for a crew of up to 25 (besides Earth fleet personnel, mainly researchers are on board), most Longrange Freighters are on exploration missions in the asteroid belt. The four lightweight fusion engines give the Longrange Freighter enough range to traverse the solar system. Despite its compact design, these freighters can carry up to 60 tons of material, and the ship has an inflatable cargo hold designed specifically for this class.
