The sustainable city of the future utilizes public spaces in many ways. One of these ways is by creating public access garden plots throughout the city. Places like public transportation terminals have these garden plots for people to enjoy, eat and even help garden while waiting. However, most of the care has been given to Garden Bots. These gentle robots care for the plots they are assigned to and cultivate many types of fruit and vegetable growth. With advanced sensors, they are able to track the moisture and nutrient needs of each plant or tree. They also manage pests but encourage beneficial for a healthy ecosystem. They are supplied with a seed bank for replanting, access to public compost and tools, and maintain communication with their larger brothers for crop rotation and heavier lifting jobs.
