The word “Ganbatte” is Japanese for “Do your best” or “fight on”. When conjigated with the “te” form, it changes the meaning from an expression of encouragement to an action being performed in the current tense. In this case, “Ganbatteimasu”. Loosely translated, it means I haven’t had a full night’s sleep in months.

I tried. I’m not good at this at all, but I tried. Total time spent on the project was about 5 hours. I couldn’t decide if it fell under “vehicle” or “gadget”, so instead I placed it under “cultural heritage & history”. Future historians will marvel at how we used to carry around our fossil fules.
