More model informationThis possible cup-marked rock sits within the Gayles Plantation area of the Feldom Ranges, North Yorkshire, some 250 metres west of Feldom Rigg Lane and within 100 metres of confirmed carvings.
It seems to match reference ‘FR 13c’ in Paul and Barbara Brown’s 2008 book ‘ Prehistoric Rock Art in the Northern Dales’, where they describe the stone as:
“Square slab 79 x 78 x 18 cm. One faint 6cm cup mark.”
The stone is largely overgrown, with a squarish depression visible at the north end, but its artificial origin is uncertain.
