This carving is located 320 metres W of Feldom Rigg Lane, in the Feldom Range area of Gayles Moor, North Yorkshire.

It was originally discovered by Stuart Feather and the Bradford Archaeology Group in 1966, and was later added to Beckensall and Laurie’s 1998 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale’ as D13 . A decade later, Paul and Barbara Brown referenced the stone ‘FR 13D’ in ‘Prehistoric Rock Art in the Northern Dales,’ where they described:

“Sloping square-shaped slab 58x54x13cm. Approx 20 cups, two with single rings, others linked by grooves forming intricate pattern.”

A number of the cups recorded by the Browns on their sketch, are now beneath the turf.
