More model informationWW2 German defensive structure network in Jersey, part of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall. Defending St Ouen’s Bay, Jersey. This 5m diameter emplacement had installed a 8cm FK 30(t) Czech field gun. This R.N. is part of a second line of defence to engage Allied troops who had made it past the beach defences. The dunescape between the promontory and the beach was mined. Originally built as a coastal artillery site, it was passed to the infantry in 1942. The R.N. takes its name from the La Mare water mill that stood in the valley to the southeast but was demolished by the Germans to improve the field of fire of the machine guns.
