More model information

Model created completely by Bartłomiej Pitala

This wreck lies on the bottom of the Baltic Sea on the Hel Peninsula, on the depth of 42 meters. It was built in 1916 as S/F Ditmar Koel in Hamburg. The ship took part in Hannibal Operation and sank after a collision on March 18th 1945. It’s outstanding features are the 105mm cannon at the bow, and a double wooden steering wheel in the superstructure.

Total time to scan the whole wreck was almost 200 minutes on the bottom, water temperature 4 degrees. the scan was created using almost 11 000 pictures.

Many thanks to Mariusz Milka for all the tips in post-production.
