More model informationPost-depositional weathering processes can substantially alter the nature of proglacial sediments. In this model the small red stones and small purple stones are remnants, or ‘ghosts’ of frost-shattered boulders deposited by glacial processes at Skaftafell, southeast Iceland. The image area is 1.5 x 1.5 m. This model was produced as part of the May 2017 University of Plymouth geography field class. Seventeen photos from around the boulders were captured using a DSLR camera, and processing within AGISOFT PHOTOSCAN to generate a 3D image of the surface.
