Giant Ammonite (NHMW-Geo 1975/1702/0001)3D Model
3D scan of a giant ammonite (Parapuzosia seppenradensis), that is 85 million years old and was found in Gosau, Upper Austria, in 1971. This ammonite species is the largest that ever existed on earth. The Viennese specimen is the second largest in Austria with a maximum diameter of ca. 1 meter.
The giant ammonite is Number 23 of the NHM Top 100 and can be found in Hall 8 of the NHM Vienna.
