More model informationOne day, as I was teaching my 3D Modeling class, my students and I attempted to model, apply materials, and fully rig and skin a character in under 2 hours. To accomplish this, started with a simple cylider object for the head and started extruding downward until we finished the blocky feet. Then we used Maya 2016 Extension 2’s “Auto-Rig” feature. The result was Gingy: the in-class assignment that just won’t go away.
Like most leftover Christmas baked goods, Gingy has grown stale and rigid, but still retains a tart flavor and his own persistent smile.
