Gladius found in Østre Toten, Norway. Damasked or pattern-welded figure made of copper alloy on the sword blade. Below, the letters SF. The figure depicts a standing Victoria on an implied pedestal, facing right. The figure is winged and holds a shield of victory in her raised right hand. The left hand supports a fold of draped clothing. The palm branch over the figure’s left shoulder symbolizes the goddess of victory.
