Scanned portion of Glasgow Royal Infirmary mallet. This mallet of oak from the old Glasgow University founded in 1451 and situated in High Street, not far from the Royal Infirmary, was used by HRH The Prince of Wales (King George V) in laying the Memorial Stone of the Glasgow Royal Infirmary rebuild on 24 April 1907.
