Denna sal har varit indelad i flera rum varav ett större som troligen använts för representation. På medeltiden var anseendet avgörande; i de högre samhällsskikten togs alla tillfällen att imponera på omgivningen. Här hölls ståtliga fester. En bevarad bröllopsinbjudan som hövitsmannen i Varberg, Hindrik Krummedige, erhöll 1519 visar på det. Festen hölls för att fira Jens döttrars dubbelbröllop och pågick i fyra dagar. Vi kan räkna med att det var en imponerande tillställning med ett övermått av både mat, dryck, underhållning och musik.
