Boulder near Ravensheugh Crags, SW of Wark, Northumberland.
This stone sits amongst a cluster of other carvings, to the E of the four-poster stone circle on Ravensheugh Crag. It’s referenced ‘Goatstones m’ on the Beckensall Archive (BA) and described as ‘Two cups, one of which is shallow.’
NADRAP subsequently recorded the stone ‘Goatstones 21’ on ERA in 2008, noting:
‘Single shallow central cup and other faint depressions on top surface. Two large hollows, one deep on NE side are possibly natural geological features.’
