My second attempt in making Sketchfab my personal virtual aquarium space. Meet Halley, the comet goldfish as he plays hide and seek (Kakurenbo) between the roots of Water Hyacinth. He isn’t really doing a great job of hiding but… Oh well, I think he looks cute.
On a development note, this Water Hyacinth took quite a effort to make. Modeling, texturing itself was not hard but making them roots react to the motion of goldfish was a pain. I swear I should start publishing these aquatic plants as separate models…
Modeling, texturing, rigging, animation all done in Blender. (Texturing for original goldfish asset done in Substance Painter) Plant root motion, goldfish fin motion done with cloth simulation.
All C&C are welcome. Hope you all enjoy it.
